A Kirby

Chief Amanda Kirby -

Chief Kirby began her law enforcement career at Ball State University Police Department. She graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 2009. She was promoted to Field Training Officer while with Ball State. Prior to her law enforcement career, Chief Kirby was an Indiana State Certified Paramedic and Primary Instructor. She started her EMS career as a volunteer with Albany EMS and then was hired full time by Delaware County EMS. She taught EMS classes in Delaware County and became the Assistant Director of Albany EMS. She also worked part time with Henry County EMS. Along with EMS training, she has trained in Fire Fighter I and II, Hazmat,Rescue and SCUBA. She volunteered with both Blountsville Fire and Modoc Fire Departments. She was hired full time in 2014 by Middletown Police Department as a patrolman.She is the K9 officer with her partner Kimbo and was promoted to Chief in January of 2019

Kimbo-

Kimbo is an 8 year old Belgian Malinois. He previously worked for the Eaton Indiana police department. He is trained in Patrol and Narcotics detection.His favorite movie is "All Dogs Go To Heaven". In his free time, he likes to lay on the couch and watch Animal Planet.

Captain Matt Thompson –

Captain Matthew Thompson started in 2009 with the Henry County Sherrif's Department working in the jail as a correctional officer.He started working with the Middletown Police Department in 2012 as a Reserve Officer. In March 2014, he was hired by Middletown as a full time officer.

Officer Guy Cobb –

Officer Cobb was honorably discharged  (Retired) from the U.S. Army in 2007 with over 30 years of service in Active Duty and National Guard.He began his law enforcement career as an Emergency Dispatcher in Columbus then served over 24 years as an Indiana Conservation Law Enforcement Officer with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources in Henry County. He was appointed to Patrolman in Middletown in 2006.He is certified in interview and interrogation techniques, crime scene photography, evidence technician, river rescue, antiterrorism advisors level II and an assistant scuba instructor in search and recovery.  He is also an instructor in boating education, hunter education, and snowmobile education

Officer Jim Hunt

Officer Kim Cronk -

Officer Kim Cronk Retired from the Henry County Sheriff’s Department after serving 36 years. During that time he served as Road Deputy (2 years), Investigations Supervisor Detective Sergeant (19 years), Investigations Commander Detective Captain (5 Years), Shift Commander Road Captain (2 years) and the elected Sheriff Two terms (8 years). He was Co- Director for the Henry County Area Drug Task Force (11 years), Co-Director Henry County 911 (11 years). He has attended ILEA Detectives School, State Police Detectives School, Breathalyzer School, Narcotic Investigations School, Hostage Negotiation School, Interrogation Course, Voice Stress Operator’s School, Numerous Drug Enforcement Schools, Chief Executives School, and the Chief Executive’s School for School Safety. He is currently serving as a Henry County Commissioner.

Officer Andy Williams -

Officer Williams began his career as a sworn Police Officer with the New Castle Police Department in 2004. During his time with that agency, he served as a member of the SWAT team and is a certified Field Training Officer. Officer Williams graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 2005. Officer Williams is also a 2003 graduate of the Vincennes University Law Enforcement program and a 2011 graduate of Indiana University.
