MIDDLETOWN TOWN COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 18, 2007


The Middletown Town Council met on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 with three members present. Dave Wagner and Chuck Deweese were both absent. Jake Smith opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag, the minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read and the claims were signed.

1. In department updates R'ck Weptrater reported that the hand rail at the Civic Center was in place and he was putting non slip paint or strips on the steps.

2. Martha Minnick asked if Rick had found any "No Dumping" signs. He said they are ordered.

3. Dan Fountain asked about the Church on Locust Street given to the Town. The Civic Center Board is overseeing the church. We need to find a use for the church.

4. In reference to the re-cycling bins, Dan Fountain and Eric Lohrey will continue to work on the placement of the bins.

5. Tim Mundell questioned why the bins can't be placed behind the Municipal Building? EMS Chief Phil Chandler explained that the fire trucks are too long to make the turn out of the building.

There being nothing more to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned.
