MIDDLETOWN TOWN COUNCIL MEETING JANUARY 16. 2007
The Middletown Town Council met on Tuesday, January 16, 2007. Council President Jake Smith opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read and the claims were signed.
1. Police Chief Randy Wray reported that his department is tagging cars.
2. The third and final reading of the Rainey Day Ordinance was passed by the Council.
3. Town Superintendent Rick Westrater reported that he is still waiting on electrical plans for the e-bio-diesel plant. He also reported the First Merchants Bank is interested in hooking onto the storm water system.
4. Rick Westrater explained an electrical problem downtown and the efforts he and his crew have gone to in order to find the problem. He then introduced Denny Burns from Burns Corporation to explain our electrical system to those present. Mr. Burns was very impressed with Rick and his men and the steps they went through to help the businesses downtown. Everyone was given an opportunity to speak.
