The Clerk-Treasurer serves as the fiscal officer for the town. He also serves as the secretary for the town council.In Middletown the Clerk-Treasurer is also employed as the manager of the Utility Office.Our current Clerk-Treasurer is Jim Hanson. Jim is a life-long resident of Middletown. He is retired from General Motors and also has operated his own tax business for a number of years. He was appointed to the position of Clerk-Treasurer by the Democratic Party after Donita Chambless resigned. His term will expire at the end of 2011.

Penny Lohrey serves as a Utility Office Clerk. She emigrated to Middletown from Honey Creek a few years ago. Most of the older folks in town probably remember her as the head cashier at Harvest Market for many years.

Tim Mundell also serves as a Utility Office Clerk.
